I decided to wrap mine on the outside with foam, and i still have the option to change the foam to the inside of the cage as it screws off at the base. And it is so easy to slip off the whole piece to clean as the lip is a nice size at about one inch. The seller was very good sending me information about the product. Delivery was very fast too so I can't fault it at all and I will be buying another 2 for the rest of my fx6 filters
