I am really into Sonic games and also enjoying the game boy advance. Sonic Advance combines both of these hobbies into one. The graphics are excellent and makes me nostalgic for the days when big colorful sprites reigned and upbeat synthesized midi music was awesome. This game controls pretty well and with the exception of some random bottomless pits, the game is super fun to play. You can play as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy which is pretty cool. Also, the difficulty ramps up nicely, with the earlier levels being easier and the later ones being very challenging. All in all, a great game for Sonic fans and a fun one for everyone else.

This series of games is such a throwback to the original sega genesis games, but with a new twist. The gameplay is very easy to pick up and play the levels are great, and the graphics look really good. Its a challenge during some of the boss battles. Only thing i have to complain about is the bonus levels are really hard to get a chaos emerald, guess i need more practice, must play as super sonic.

As the first Sonic game developed exclusively for a Nintendo system, there's a certain degree of historical significance to this game. History aside though, this is a very competent, above average platformer. Those that are used to the Sonic titles for the Genesis may find this game a bit surreal, as it plays and sounds like how I imagine Sonic would play if it had originally been developed for the SNES. There's a great amount of depth to this game, with 4 playable characters, and many massive levels to explore. There's a large amount of replay value to be had, and this game provides excellent value for your dollar.
I'm very happy with this game. The cartridge came in perfect quality, which is more than you can say for most Game Boy Advance games on eBay, it works properly, and I've had lots of fun with it!
