    Barbie and Skipper Dolls, Reporting the Fashion News

    This is a review of an adorable story book called "Barbie in the Spotlight". It is part of the "Reporter Series" published by Golden Books. The story line in this book is unrealistic and just not that great. In this tale, Barbie is a TV news reporter who is scheduled to cover an important designer's fashion show. She takes her sister Skipper backstage to meet the designer and watch the interview. Barbie and Skipper avert a disaster when one of the fashion-show models gets stuck at the airport; Barbie steps in to model, while Skipper finishes the interview. If I were to rate the book's features separately, I would give the story line a 3 and the illustrations a 5. The photos in this book are really outstanding, and I just love them!
