This is definitely worth having as a sequel to The Ring. Both Films are very well made.

The ‘watch a creepy video tape and die in seven days’ concept is gone in “The Ring Two” as the focus turns to possession and bad mothering to move the story along. Rachel (Naomi Watts) and her son Aidan (David Dorfman) find a small town to start over in, but that creepy dead girl from the well won’t let them be. Just as Rachel’s settling into her new life and new job with the town’s newspaper, a teenage boy is found dead and his date’s left speechless from watching him die. You guessed it. She’s back… Samara and her evil tape have followed Rachel and Aidan to their new home. The Ring Two isn't about ominous phone calls warning death. Instead, Samara’s aim in this film is to possess little Aidan and claim Rachel as her mum. http://movies.about.com/od/therin1/a/ring2031705.htm I only bought this film because I started to watch the first one again, and my friend was interested too. I had watched it before the second one but it's broke so I decided to buy it again. I love this film, I laugh at it so much. But the first one is better, but it was cheap and the seller had been great.Read full review
Although i thought the first Hollywood remake of the Japanese film "The Ring" was very good I think this is one sequel too many. Naomi Watts as Rachel is again excellent, but in my opinion the story is just a bit thin to make a second movie a viable proposition. Rachel (Watts) and her son have realocated to get away from the events of the first Movie, but ofcourse she is again being targetted to die.I wont give too much away regarding the plot, but i can simply say that I don't think there will be a Ring 3,but who knows?. If you are an admirer of Naomi watt's acting ability this is a very good example of how she manages to always give a good performance even when the material is found wanting.A good enough reason,i think, for buying this DVD. You can buy this DVD very cheaply on Ebay,or Amazon and my copy cost me excactly a Fiver, including postage. If you are patient you quite often see it for less than that!.Read full review
It's not often that movies genuinely spook me but The Ring has done just that. Just as I thought I had fully recovered from watching the first film, the sequel goes and blows it out of the water. I can't believe this was only classified as a 15! It's not a gorey horror, it's better thought out than that, The Ring Two is simply frightening from start to finish. This would be a great movie to choose for a classic night in..after all you wouldn't want to watch it alone!
brilliant sequel to an already excellent film. the ring two carried on from where the first one left off, with the all important videa tape finding itself in unsuspecting youngsters hands, and the return of samara. nail biting stuff, real edge of your seat film.
An excellent follow on to the original Ring with the young boy and his Mum once again fighting to break the ring of never ending death. Not quite as good as the original, but then follow on films never seem to be, but worth every penny. If you liked The Ring then you will like this for sure.
Bought this as had seen the first one and enjoyed it but felt needed more answers, this film creates more but answers them all, the 2 films together now make complete sense. Very scary with a twist this time round, continuing with the same main characters from the 1st film.
spine chilling horror sequel .excellent film 5*****.recommend this item,.....................................................
i bought it and thought it was good as i have the ring one and liked it so much i just had to see the sequel and was happy with regards julie
