The film is based on the controversial best-selling novel by Anonymous (Joe Klein). Travolta's dead-on, thinly disguised Clinton impersonation alone is well worth seeing.

Fuzzy sound, no subtitles, unwatched film.
I can't answer any of the above as the sound is so bad I can't hear a word of dialogue and the film has no subtitles. I gave up.

A taste of American Political Life
I loved this DVD! I have always had a interest in Politics. Particulary American Politics. Primary colors is about a Governer (John Travolta)who wants to be President. In doing so he compromises himself, both emotionally and phyically. Sleeping around (not unusual for a politician but doesnt seem to appeal to Conservative supporters!) In a desperate effort to make sure that any information that might damage is career is concealed from the Public, he hires Kathy Bates, a woman whos style isnt pretty but does the job! It is clear that the man is based on a other famous white haired Democrat (cough cough!) and that the movie is about how a man can inspire people through speech. Lester and Thorton give commanding performances in their admittingly small role (which is more due to the ... I loved this DVD! I have always had a interest in Politics. Why buy this now
Anyone interested in the current US election would find this entertaining. It appears to be based on the Clinton's early run for president. Emma Thompson does a good job on Hilary. John Travolta's character gives some insight to what drove Bill.
