  • Beautiful book with lots of photos, inspiration and how-to's...

I have a home library, which has a section devoted to dollhouse miniatures. I enjoy looking through the colorful ones over and over. The older ones or instruction ones I keep for reference. I tend to purchase only those books that are worthwhile for reference, or to browse through over and over for inspiration an enjoyment. At a 144pages, this colorful book is a step-by-step illustrated guide to making ninety (90) authentic miniatures in fifteen (15) styles including a Tudor Banqueting Hall, 17th-Century Lying-in Room, 18th-Century Merchant's silver Room, Colonial Dining Room, Chimoiserie Sitting Room, Shaker Work Room, a small town store, american settler's Parlor, Victorian Dining Room, old curiosity shop, Frank Lloyd wright Sitting Room, 1920s Living room, American Diner, 1960s country ...

  • Dollhouse Style by Kath Dalmeny Hardback

I sold my first hardback copy of this book thinking I wouldn't want to take advantage of the clear instructions on how to make mini furniture. I bought a second copy and would recommend this to any dollhouse miniatures lover. She covers each room shown, and almost every other page has simple instructions on how to make your minis look as beautiful. It seems the Brits' take on dh minis is far advanced from the U.S. Nevertheless, if you love dollhouse minis, you will want and Need this book!
