Pen inscription to front end paper. Notable cracking to rear hinge casuing board to be slightly loose. Binding is firm, except pages 233-36 that are slightly loose. Plates are browned as is common with Dickens first editions. Last page, p.609, is absent and missing. Plate facing page 301 has light red marking to it. Small pen marks to verso of engraved title page. Heavy wear to boards, with notable fraying to edges and bumping to corners casuing peeling to leather. Also some clear peeling to cloth on rear board and general scuffing to leather. Heavy split to spine head's joint, exposing spine. Spine is creased.”
