Better control over heating, convenient and just works.
Easy to fit replacing an old timer. Gives me much better control over my heating from my phone and Google Home. In fact I seldom touch the thermostat/programmer at all. Also includes an interface for all other Hive products, eg. Lighting. When I leave home I am reminded to turn my heating down and to turn it on again when heading home. This has allowed me to have my house warmer when I am home and has also reduced my bills as I am not heating an empty house. This can also be automated via IFTTT. But try to get this used from someone who's had it installed but needs move, split up from partner or going overseas as you should be able to get it for about £100. 'Actions' mean you can use motion sensors to switch on lights, turn up/down the heat or even start the oven.
