My order was immediately cancelled by the seller after the auction ended - the reason given was because their employee had dropped the item, causing it to be damaged beyond repair. However, the exact same item was then immediately relisted for a higher price as a buy it now listing. Regrettably, this was a poor experience as I then had to wait 5 days for a refund due to eBay's processing time for payments.

I am sorry you was not satisfied on this occasion. You was informed of the situation promptly and without delay on the same day as the auction listing end. I offered to send you the item, or refund the payment back to you. You then agreed to a cancellation which was actioned straightaway. EBay’s processing time is out of my control. The item was relisted, however the damages to the item were altered accordingly on the new listing. I suggest making a complaint to Ebay regarding the refund process
