Preliminary review. It is supplied with a dangling pair of wires ending in male RCA plugs. Unbelievably, the wires are hard-wired into the rear of the turntable. There should be (female) RCA plug holes in the back. As a result, I could not test this. I have had to order an adapter to permit me to connect it to my equipment. The manufacturer should have organized the connection properly and supplied all the wires needed. I am not in a hurry here, but this would frustrate anyone who wanted to use it straight away. Ignore the ratings: I couldn't submit the review without entering ratings. I have not yet been able to test this item.

This is a decent bit of kit. Lightweight but still sturdy and with a decent motor that maintains the speed better than some belt drive units I have used. Allowed me to use my Ortofon Carts as well which was a major plus. Downside is the supplied software is terrible. Awkward to use, no real guidance and poor interface. I would recommend connecting this as a line in if cataloguing vinyl. I have this as a line in and the capturing audio on Polderbits at 320kbps and it soinda fantastic. Would have been 5 stars but for the software and the time I spend mucking around trying to use it.
I purchased this unit to transfer a small vinyl collection of mixed 33, 45 and 78rpm records to my computer and then iPod. It was very easy to set up and I was transferring my first LP within a few minutes. The unit is excellent however I did have operational issues with the Audacity software conflicting with my video card causing the card to freeze when editing thus necessitating a lot of rebooting. Despite updating my video card drivers this persisted. In the end I made a point of saving the transfer before attempting any editing. In other respects the program is good and easy to use.
As I have loads of records and my old record player had died I decided to buy a usb turntable so that I could copy them to CD. The beauty of this one is that it can be connected straight to a music system with the built in leads as well so you can just plug it in and play. It seems like a nice solid piece of equipment. The only downside is that it doesn't have a lift up lid as most record players do. You can purchase one seperately but I think it's a bit pricey for a piece of moulded plastic. All in all very pleased and would recommend.
