    Not heavy duty like Snap On. But for the price really good

    I put this on an OEM seven drawer trolley base. Fitted well. though I did take measurements first. The drawers are more lightweight than Snap on, but I will never be over loading them. They come oiled/greased but I would stick a little more on. I like the way the lid closing locks the draws, but beware the tolerance for closing is fine so if your not careful one of your drawers might look closed but isn't. That can be a bi*ch if you pull the trolley across a slope and the drawer opens....e.g. top over balances and you could get tools on floor and tears. Especially so with the trolley.. I would recommend it for any home mechanic though maybe not so for heavy duty use in a garage.

    Sealey top chest tool box

    Where to start? It’s not particularly well constructed, nor is the steel of heavy enough gauge, meaning it’s quite flimsy, which makes the top lid locking mechanism a bit hit and miss. You have to make sure all 9 drawers are properly home, or the sloppy lock will leave several drawers open. The draw depth is also quite shallow, meaning there is always a bit of levelling required if you have a few of the same tool (eg; screwdrivers) to get the draw to close. It’s okay for the hobbyist, but no where near the same quality of the 25 year old Clarke’s/Machine Mart one it replaces. Mine sits on a Clarke’s roller cab too and for not much more money, is really where I should have gone to buy another. I know I should have sent it back, but the hassle of the returns process isn’t worth it.

    Sealey Topchest

    A clever red box

    Nice and stable toolchest. Drawers run nice and have a lock function. The whole toolchest could be a bit deeper, therefore only 4 and not 5 stars.
