Released in 2011, it stars Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, a young man suffering from unknown but crippling ailments which precluded his ability to serve in World War II. His ticket to join the military comes when he participates in an experiment and receives a super soldier serum. This transforms him into Captain America, whose first major enemy is Adolf Hitler's top weapons expert Red Skull, played by Hugo Weaving. This 2011 Blu-Ray release of Marvel's blockbuster film contains not only the High Definition version but also the DVD format, and a digital copy as well.

    The Birth of the Best Super!

    Since I was a little boy in the 70's, I loved Captain America. He was strong, honest, trustworthy, a military man & had the best legs of any Super ever! Although Chris Evan's doesn't have huge legs, he embodies what Captain America stands for in every way. This movie has so many great moments & the way they make you believe that Steve Rogers is actually that little dude in the beginning, is just so awesome. The movie keeps you on your toes, has sad parts to keep you engaged & allows you to truly believe in the characters, including Peggy Carter who is outstanding! Winter Soldier is by far the best movie Marvel ever made, but this is an excellent start to the Captain America saga. Must have.

    Overall as a movie it’s great. The only 2 things wrong were with the box. Unfortunately one side of the box doesn’t snap close and on the back side the plastic is almost completely slit like someone took a knife to it. Still I enjoy the movie.

    Great Movie! Disregard Negative reviews!

    I don't know why this movie gets so many negative reviews. This is a great "origins" story of Captain America brought into the 21st century. Visual effects are unbelievable! Action is very good throughout. As with most Marvel movies, Cap ties into the Avengers Universe along with Thor, Iron Man, and The Hulk. But even as a stand alone story, it is really good.

    I remember watching it on television and loved seeing it again. I love Chris Evans and he's the perfect actor to play Cap A. Blue Ray gives a much crisper, clear look. I also love behind the scenes footage.
