I encountered plenty of huge tree roots which it couldn't deal with but why would it ?......it's not meant to be a chainsaw !! It makes short work of soil and clay and I used it down to a depth of 60cm to sink 8ft posts. Infinitely better than using a spade, resulting in a much tighter hole and less post-crete. As a result, it pays for itself. Very glad I bought it and I would happily use this seller again !!
