Sheridan Smith (MRS BIGGS) stars as swinging 60's icon Cilla Black in this biopic from the pen of acclaimed writer Jeff Pope (LUCAN, PHILOMENA). The three-part drama charts her rocky rise to fame; from her humble beginnings in a typist pool, to her fortuitous signing with first manager Brian Epstein, her friendship with fellow Liverpudlian scenesters The Beatles, and the strain her new found stardom had on her marriage to her beloved Bobby. Ed Stoppard (UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS) and Aneurin Barnard (THE WHITE QUEEN) co-star in this fascinating, intimate tale of one of Britain's best loved entertainers.
