    Excellent paint but needs a primer

    A joy use an Oil Paint again. Lovely finish easy to paint. Ignore Hammerite's advertising claim that you can paint directly onto bare galvanised steel. The tin says that a primer is required. Dulux (owners of Hammerite) say that result and lasting will be improved by using a primer.

    paint [rubbish

    This paint was a complete waste of time and money ,it run from the brush like water and would not cover the meatal garage door at all ,so had to take a trip to a local paint store for different paint , it may have been a faulty tin of this i have no idea but i do know i wasted my hard earned cash on it.

    Very thin

    So unlike the Hammerite paint I am used to using. I used it yesterday and found it to be unexpectedly THIN! Therefore I felt it not to be value for my money. The gargage door I'm painting will take more coats than the usual Hammerite metal paint which I will revert to using in future.

    Says crappy tins but the contents are excellent.

    Although the tins are 'crappy' as advertised, the paint itself is really good stuff. Although it says no primer needed, I read other reviews that confirmed a primer is best applied, which I did. I'm really pleased with the results. I would recommend.
