    Added peace of mind for Saniflo

    I have installed this alarm to my Saniflo unit following a recent unexpected leak when the unit overfilled and unfortunately came through a ceiling. The prices vary for the same alarm product so advise to shop around. The alarm is fairly simple to install but does require drilling a hole in the lid. It requires 2 xAAA batteries (not supplied) or can be connected to continuous mains power system, but will require an adaptor. The alarm once in place can be easily removed for battery change (recommended yearly) and testing/cleaning. My only criticism is the alarm buzzer is not very loud so if the unit is installed inside a loft space cupboard as mine is it may not be loud enough to be heard but I guess better than having no alarm at all.
