    Good double album. You can lend disk 2 to a covangelical friend!

    I'm not a connoisseur but Van's still in good voice and still arranges good bluesy backing. Lyrics mostly make a point that's useful in this age of censorship and cancelling. Beware hostile reviews in the media motivated by covid politics!

    Great value and quality but the cd itself is not the best in the Van canon

    No issue at all with the price or quality of the cd. Both are really, really good. The album itself? Van sounds good and his band are always good but the songs themselves become a bit tiresome after awhile with Van bleating on and on about how he feels about life at the moment. It’s a double cd as well! Not one to listen to more than once.

    Morrison's bargain of 2021. Get yourself one!

    Van is still setting the pace with over 25 original songs on this essential 2CD collection. He sings it's "Only a song" but he's been mining some real nuggets here. Whether or not you share his point of view, this is over two hours of fine songwriting and great music.

    Maestro.

    It's not really a review as I am a massive Van Morrison fan and I buy all his albums as they are released. This album is crammed with songs that are both simple in construction and yet profound in the message they portray. Van is a Genius. He's my latter-day Beethoven. The Maestro.
