Plus, the item from this seller had tears in the plastic on the DVD cover. He was honest in his description.     Great movie and price

    I have watched this movie many times and was excited to be able to buy it on DVD. The DVD played great. The original was great too but I didn't care for the third one from the Norwegian side. The 1982 version is the best.

    The Master Of Horror Everyone It's John Carpenter

    This is one of the freakiest films I have watched. I think Carpenter is a master of Horror; and it this movie he doesn't only rely on horror, but science fiction. I loved this film, and got it for a great price. It is a must have for any horror/sci-fy fan. Once you watch it it will make your skin crawl.

    Drama, Suspense, Action Great Special Effects...A Great Ride.

    Love John Carpenter and The Thing is done perfectly by him. The acting is good, but then Kurt Russell...enough said there. The Thing has drama, action, suspense, great special effects. All make for great ride.

    Worth the price!

    This is still a great movie after all these years! Special effects not quite up to today's standards but still good. Interesting characters and relentless pacing. I particularly liked the commentary section on this disc with John Carpenter and Kurt Russell. Very interesting and funny too. Definitely worth the price.

    Definitely worth watching

    Fun scary movie! Entertaining story, scary monster, and decent special effects for the early early 80s! Good acting for the most part. Great to see a young Kurt Russell. The movie really keeps you on the edge of your seat the way it builds suspense and mystery. I would recommend
