Bright and easy to install - very impressed!
Bright and easy to install, this light proved the answer to my lighting problems in my office at home. I previously had halogen spots that did the usual thing of blowing transformers and bulbs, and drawing a lot of power (50W each!), so investigated LEDs, but the bulbs were or variable quality, so tried this - and very pleased with result. I fitted it using the wiring from a single spot - a new transformer is included, so simple 2-wire electrical connection was easy, and just had to fix to the ceiling which was easy as so lightweight can be done with either sticky pads, or (as I did) forming plastic channel to slide it into. It gives a bright flood of light that is easy on the eye, with no flicker or harshness. Only had it a few weeks, so not sure if light output will be maintained - only ... A great light, finally at a good price
I bought one of these as a trial to consider replacing the 20 or so in my office. I think fitting these as a new installation into a suspended ceiling would be a breeze. It is easy to wire up, and its minimal weight makes it easy to lift up into position. The light is a nice daylight colour temperature. The diffusion is superb, even better than traditional florescent fittings. I tested this unit with a light meter, and measured it to be slightly less bright than 4 normal florescent tubes at a distance of one meter. However, I think the wider diffusion angle means that more light spreads outwards to the white walls in my office, and the net effect is that it certainly seems to make more light in the room than the florescent tubes they are intended to replace. The fact that this consumes ... I bought one of these as a trial to consider replacing the 20 or so in my office. I intend on testing the 48W panel next for brighter working areas.

Excellent light levels
Very pleased with the light levels, and the ease of fitting. Glorious daylight in the workshop/garage instead of sepulchral gloom! I was a little surprised how hot the two sides with the LEDs became: too hot for a hand to remain on them. Heat may tend to reduce the life of a panel, so I screwed on some scrap aluminium extrusions I happened to have to act as heat sinks on two of my three new panels. Probably not necessary, but it will be interesting to see whether the ones with heat sinks last longer than the one without.Very pleased with the light levels, and the ease of fitting.
