This has a quality about it's sound. I doubted it'd be any good as I've had numerous A5's and many other Cambridge amps but this one's quite surprising. Take the lid off and there's plenty of gold coloured sony covers on the main components. On audition I was pleasantly surprised. My main at the time was an Arcam 8r/7se, Celestion Ditton 44 set up. I tried this with the 7se and was a bit bemused as it sounded 99% Arcam. It was punching the same as the Arcam and the top end sounded pretty much the same. If I had a critism it'd be separation on complicated music was just below par but it is just a minor critism as the price of an 8r as i'm writing this is around £120 on this site, around twice the price these go for, and though I personally prefer the Arcam it isn't twice the amp. It's just a little bit better. So too sum up this is a good all rounder. Sure there's better amps out there but for the price these go for they're ridiculous value for money. Very musical too.Read full review
This amp is quite possibly the best you could buy for the price. Comes in a nice box and mesh bag, too. The allowance for soundstage and imaging is very high. It provides punchy bass, which works well with my B&W 603s2 speakers. Vocalisation is so incredibly realistic. I am thoroughly enjoying this wonderful amp, you will enjoy it as well, if you give it a try.
