Using these Panasonic batteries to replace the old tired ones in our Panasonic cordless phone handsets. Those were running out of charge quickly during calls, leading to sound distortion and having to swap handsets during longer calls. These batteries are approx 50% higher capacity than the original spec, enabling longer usage before recharge becomes necessary. They keep their charge for longer off the charging units, so we can leave them lying around in convenient places for longer. 4 handsets needing 2 batteries each, so the 8-pack is the ideal one for economic purchase. Spec indicates 2400 recharges possible, old ones approx 1000, so they ought to last in service for more than twice as long as the original batteries. Call clarity seems improved too, it's as if the phones are working a bit better using these. Came ready charged, blurb says they use solar power to do this, so they are seemingly helping us to be a bit green! Fingers crossed they continue to be as reliable as the phones. I'd use them for other applications if/when I get the chance, and can recommend to anyone who needs rechargeables.Read full review

Have used this brand before and they appear to be reliable. Too early to say how long lasting the current ones are re the number of recharges they will take.

Many years ago we standardised on Eneloop rechargeable batteries ... We use AA and AAA Eneloops and no other rechargeable batteries ... I still have some that are quite a few years old and they still holding their charge well ... We have 18 AAs in use all the time on six "candle lights" that come on and off automatically every evening, plus others in torches ... I also have ready charged ones for when the ones in the candle lights need to be replaced ... I don't use the Eneloop "light" versions; I standardised on the normal ones ... As soon as I get new batteries, I fully charge them in readiness for use ... I am very impressed with Eneloops and will keep using them without bothering with any other makes or types ... I have not yet had any failures or any significant loss of capacity in any of my Eneloops ...Read full review

Was recommended these years ago, by a guy who worked in an office that the employees used to all have digital cameras to record thier work on, they always had trouble with other brands of rechargeable batteries until they changed to Enelope and they found that thier lifespan was alotlonger!

Eneloops are simply the best rechargeable AA and AAA batteries money can buy. Made in Japan. Never leak, almost zero self discharge. Good always bright contact cap metal, never oxidises. Last a lifetime maybe. I’ve used them since they came out in 2005. I’ve not had a single failure or wear out yet! Used to be Sanyo but Panasonic bought the factory. Same great batteries. Perfect.
