A very interesting insight into the mind of Stephen Hawkings and the workings of the universe, written in a manner which can be understood by most of us. It also explains how the Big Bang started the Universe but not who mixed the ingredients. A very thought provoking book that creates more questions than answers and is a must for those struggling with the dichotomy of science and religion.

The book is of value for people who know basic knowledge about universe and space-time concept however it is old and most of its contents dates back to 1970-1980. I am not sure these theories have not been changed or refuted altogether. Tackles lots of imaginary stuff that could not be grasped. The author made lots of efforts to explain gravity but still it is obscured and it seems no one knows what gravity exactly is and what makes negative and positive energy or charges on electrons and protons.

A must read. Very easy to follow, even though the matter is very technical. Worth the read to understand the current theories of our universe.
