Famous classic: hard work.
I was a bit disappointed in this book, which Dickens apparently thought his best.I have read others I found easier to follow, such as Our Mutual Friend. There are some wonderful parts but the story is very far fetched and the relationship with the heroine is said to be loving but involves her husband not telling her many things. I expected to find out more about the French Revolution rather than just get a strong description of the Terror. I knew the main part of the ending and kept going to find out how it turned out.
