I've been using these Speedclic abrasive / polishing buffs a lot lately, mostly to polish coins. They are available in three grit sizes, 180 (coarse, brown), 280 (medium, purple), and 320 (fine, purple). Can you spot the problem? Both the medium & fine grades are exactly the same colour (purple), and look identical in every way (see photos), so it's impossible to tell them apart! I'm not even sure there is much of a difference between them... That aside, I really like this product. The Speedclic system is easy to use, and you can quickly swap the accessories without removing the arbor from the drill. The buffs themselves are gentle, yet remove corrosion & grime with ease, and leave a lovely satin finish to the metal. They work really well for coins, using the coarse buff to remove most of the contamination, & the medium & fine (assuming you can distinguish between them) to achieve the final finish. I also use the little wire brushes to clean the serrations on the edge. Always remember to use eye protection with these accessories, especially the brushes, as they do fling debris, wires, & general detritus onto your face! Another minor problem with the buffs is that they wear out fairly quickly, but this can be minimised by avoiding working on edges and not applying too much pressure. Another great accessory from Dremel! Read full review
