This kit is long past it's 'sell by' date; the tooling dates back to 1957 and it should be no surprise that it is therefore a product of it's time. There is none of the refined detail that we have come to expect from more modern toolings, there are a few accuracy issues and it is a tricky build to say the least. That said, for an experienced modeller and with some care and attention it can be built into something that looks like a Camel but I would not recommend it for an inexperienced builder or a youngster just getting started in model building as it will likely prove a frustrating and potentially off-putting experience.

Very badly cast, parts don't fit properly, and it's impossible to out together - what are Hornby/Airfix playing at with this model? Highly recommended for masochists only!

This model was purchased to go on a wagon for model railways.it has turned out very well considering how little it cost and I am most impressed with the finished job.

Simple, slight up-grade on one of their first kits, this is not a rivet-counter's model, but as a simple, fun to make it's great. The transfers are excellent.
