I've used this with my active bass twice at rehearsals and it worked well. I think it might be sucking a bit of low end tone, however I have not yet made direct comparisons using my old lead. I still get a good sound, so I will continue to use it. The transmitter feels a little flimsy, so care must be taken with it. I would prefer it to have a standard 1/4" socket rather than the mini BNC connector, as the supplied lead is a bit to long for me. I'd prefer to use a shorter lead. The BNC connected does however feel very sturdy. My bands guitarist also uses one of these, and his guitar sounds great. A word of warning: these units are single channel only, however there are four different frequencies available. If more then one band member is using these, make sure they all have different 'ISM' numbers. we use 1 and 3.Read full review
