This fantastic router has more than doubled my internet speed. I was using the Virgin Media SuperHub 2ac which was getting me around 60mbps/7mbps. I'm now getting 200mbps/12mpbs. I'm also getting a much stronger signal and able to operate at more powerful channels. The UI is intuitive and easy to use. You also get a cool dashboard showing you usage for each device and app on the network.

I bought this modem for Facebook wifi and the firmware supplied was not compatible. Tried to downgrade the firmware but ASUS doesn't allow you to downgrade anymore. I explained the issue in detail and two days later got a response from ASUS that blatantly didn't read my email properly. I spend hours looking for an answer where I finally managed to trick the modem in to downgrading to allow Facebook wifi. Once setup it ONLY works with android and laptops. IPhones ignore the Facebook wifi feature and logs on without asking to check in #pointless This modem is bad and very limiting of what you want to do with your OWN modem. The physical build quality is good as is the packaging. The reset pin hold doesn't work with the latest firmware so do t waist hours trying to reset it as it won't work Read full review

Upgraded from a pretty decent MIMO router. We had started to experience the 'odd' dropping of devices. I decided it was time to upgrade. Setting up the ASUS is like setting up any other. The auto setup script wouldn't work with my iPad. So I had to manually configure it with a (wired) laptop. No problem. Had to find the 'default' login. It's at the back of the little printed guide. Which isn't the best. However, thr main user interface is fine. All of our many devices connected easily enough. And what a difference in Wifi speed. Despite, on paper, not offering a significant speed upgrade. My goodness it really did! The laptops (3 in the household) have been transformed. There is very little buffering and no drop off when using Apple TV, Now TV or our dedicated media PC. Never mind the 3/4 phones and numerous tablets. The old router operated quite warm. This stays pretty cool. And I'm really pleased you can turn off all the 'tell tale' lights - although even when on they are much more subtle than our old one.
