The ideal mixture of citric, tartaric and malic acids in a balanced proportion for wines and juices. It used in wines that are naturally lacking in acidity. A wine with too little acidity will taste flabby and flat, with less defined flavors and doesn't keep well.
I use it to make squash with sugar and fruit. (Most drinks in shops contain only sweeteners, which I strongly disagree with as they are not natural and might even be harmful.) The mix contains natural biological acids that are preservatives.

i was unaware of acid blend until i found an american winemaking recipe, i have previously just used citric acid but was aware of advantages of malic acid. i will know more of acid blend when my brew is ready
