We should have made the switch sooner!
We have been doing our research for a couple of years on different gravity-fed filtration systems, and decided to purchase this AlexaPurePro. It was hands-down, the best by comparison to other popular systems out there. The filters themselves, are heavy duty, all-inclusive, and have the best filtration out there. They also filter out 2,000 gallons more than the "other" brand, and filter out floride as well, which the other brand doesn't do unless you purchase a separate filter. The flow rate using two filters in the AlexaPure Pro was incredibly fast. For years we paid $45/mo to have an RO water filtration system under our kitchen sink, and after doing much research, we decided to save our hard-earned money, puchase the AlexaPure Pro and get rid of our RO filtration system all together. This unit pays for itself (comparing to $45/mo) in 4 months! We should have made the switch much sooner!

easy to assemble and easy to use.
I was really torn between giving 3 or 4 stars and here's why. I know it's not as good as a reverse osmosis system I can tell a difference in the taste of the water, however it's way better than a Brita and way way way better than tap water. It's slow coming out of the spigot which takes getting used to. I think when I order a replacement filter I will get two instead of just the one. So to sum it up, the pros are the price, the size and I'm sure it's filtering out a lot of the bad stuff we shouldn't be drinking. The cons are it is a little slow going from the top to the bottom and a little slow coming out of the spigot, and I was used to a reverse osmosis and we moved and I couldn't have one here, so I am comparing it to that. Wonderful tasting, healthy water.
We were tired of spending so much of our grocery budget on bottled water,so we looked into a gravity-fed filter. We looked at comparisons of three of the popular brands of this size. We decided that the Alexapure Pro was the best for us based on price, filtration ability and filter longevity. The water tastes great and this unit paid for itself quickly. It's easy to use, my family loves the taste of the water and we no longer have to deal with recycling plastic, lugging heavy cases of expensive water and we are saving money. Talk about saving money on water bottles and lowering our trash pile. This was a great purchase. Fits on a table or counter and isn't too big that it will take up a lot of space. We ran water through twice before officially using it. Don't fill both of the parts up as it will overflow (takes a while but it will). Top quality
I researched a good bit before deciding to pick this brand. When you look at what all it removes and the life of the filter, nothing else comes close. Like most every product, there are a few things that could be improved. When trying fill a container from the spigot, very often the flow is extremely slow, that is due to a tight fit between the upper and lower tank, so not enough air. I have seen a nice mod where a person ran a piece of plastic pipe up from one of the filter holes to the top of the tank, while that will likely help, I found that putting a short piece of a cheap drinking straw between the 2 tanks fixed the problem, it does smash the straw flat, but it still leaves just a tiny space for air to get in and still keep bugs out! Something as simple as a piece of fishing line should work just as well. The other glitch, you have no way to see how much water is in the bottom without removing the top tank, I have found an accessory though for another name brand, that should work, it replaces the spigot with one that has a tall site glass. I believe the MFG could do something as simple as put a small indent on the top lip of the bottom tank to keep it from being air locked(slow flow)Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Very easy to assemble, the water tastes great, I would have given it 5 stars but the spigot is cheap and leaks where the seal meets the tank so I cannot leave water in the tank until I buy new seals or just buy a new spigot. Alexapure Pro is High Quality
I'm very interested in Products made well and live up to the hype. Not Earth shattering info, however, if you Have to purify your water and don't want chemicals to do so, this is what you need. I've ordered two along with spare filters. One unit stored for emergencies, one for daily use. The purified tap water is Clean and only Tastes like Water. The price on eBay is the lowest I've found.
