My friend bought an escort estate (1982-1300L model), off ebay none the less, for the pricely sum of £68! I went with him to pick it up with a tow bar, as it had no T&T & brought it home. The guy at the garage couldn't believe how clean it was & it sailed through the mot, just needing a brake pipe & small sundries, amounting to £200. Bargain if you ask me! The only problem he's had with the car, is the stereo! If he turned it up past 8 on the stereo, it distorted the speakers. Putting that in perspective, a normal speaking conversation is about the same volume! We found we only had a shared earth going to the speakers, so we changed the wiring loom & fitted this JVC cd head unit & a JVC bass speaker behind the rear seat (Remember it's an estate & has no rear shelf). The results were instant, & my friend has an awsome little run about for next to nothing & some great tunes to be heard in the process! Kind regards to ebay I think!!!Read full review
