I cut up veg when I have the time, chuxk un the slow cooker and walk away. Its a very big slow cooker but we needed a big one. Good for roast veg, soups, rice. To make a smaller dish I put about 2 inches of water in the slow cooker put a ceramic cooking bowl inside and leave to cook as normal.
