Bought used on ebay to travel with to watch movies etc on flights [regular overseas] and be able to access skype / mail /internet without the hassle / weight of taking my laptop everywhere. What a good choice too. The usability is fine for everything I need to do with it, weight / size perfect. Picture quality is first rate. Volume could do with being a bit louder, but just use headphones to get over that one.Very user friendly device,internet speed is fine, no real drama to report on any of the factors/features. Also as a device for the car to keep the kids amused it's much better than dvd players and all the discs that go with it. Kids have discovered that an FM transmitter plugged into it in car with radio set to a blank channel gives them full in car stereo control for sound...hmmm. The Archos case by the way that can be purchased separately is great and half the cost of others.You'll want a case though to protect device from knocks and screen damage. Battery life is much better than my laptop, which is airplane safe mode gives me around 4 hrs, I struggled to see a whole movie on laptop. Also now cheap portable battery back ups available, which I have ordered so with 4 x AA batteries I can get another 2 hrs, so making Archos 70 even more versatile. Am very pleased with it and will probably get another one or two for the kids, because on ebay they're very affordable. No technical info in this review, can't be doing with that mumbo jumbo, it works...and well, good battery , great video, email and skype...that's me sorted...the rest is waffle! Purchased this as wanted an easily portable device for travelling, holidays etc. Can't fault it,excellent value for money. It does all the things I want it to and has loads of memory. You can get google play store,for a wider choice of apps. The wifi works really well. Only negative I can think of is that there are a lot of apps that run on startup, I think this is a problem with app design rather than Archos, its easy enough to close what you dont want to run and that speeds things up a lot. Would reccomend.

Old version of Android with limited software support. It was purchased on a parts/repair basis and had a problem with seeing the hard drive and connecting via USB so upgrades could not be performed. It is being used as an internet radio using Tunein and seems to have good WiFi sensitivity - working where other devices falter.
