Ihave found this book to be well illustrated and fascinating. I find it useful in my study of what is and is not a natural stone. A fault that I find with it is the absence of photos of natural inclusions to give contrast to the non-natural inclusions. The book is not light reading and having gone through it I am now picking and choosing sections for re-study. Having read others of this author I jumped at the chance of acquiring this volumn and recommend it highly to any student of gemmology. Is it or is it not? a guide to differention between the natural and the man made gemstones.
