Once again the kudos team use a mixture of pathos and surreal non pc humour, where villains are villains, and David Bowie casts a sinister shadow in central Manchester and an Audi Quatro stalks Piccadilly. A female twist is an ideal view on the rituals of a laddish culture, with some black humour as a side dish. Retro and repeat!

Highly recommended! Hawes and Glennister are magnificent as are the rest of the cast. Compared to series 1, the stories are much darker, twisted and convoluted. If you like cop shows, then Ashes, is a must! I cringed when I heard some of those 80's tunes (some of them weren't bad though.) I loved seeing the sights of London where I like to walk, Go on, put your hand in your pocket! You'll be glued to the telly! Well acted! 10/10

Great tv series, you forget just how both this and the earlier Life On Mars series were well written and performed. It's a shame that Ashes To Ashes was never released on blu-ray, that would be the only down-side, but it's still totally enjoyable by all.
