I was so excited about this printer, but so disappointed. Mechanical is perfect with some minor issues with x axis. Major problem I had with hot end, most of the filament was coming out on the radiator. Inside of the tube was nothing, all the filament was melted and coming out all over and almost nothing through the hot end. Impossible to print. Another problem is with the sensor, is not working with the glass. Issues with the software, if the head is up when is to start printing do not go to zero, just start printing from where it is, from air.

Item arrived well packaged enough with the instructions on the SD card inside which I had to print myself, Assembly was hampered by cheap bolts which rounded and so gave up and replaced myself from the hardware store . Not even a full month has past and the control board needs to be replaced as its blown a component now the hot bed won't work (first yellow chip in picture is split and black as you can see). Not easy to set up the auto sensor and the plastic part are to flimsy connecting the z axis so when up and running again will print replacements, all in all very poor quality machine not as good as my old one. This machine was extremely difficult to get working with windows 10 as no manufacturer support at all just forums. recommended to spend a bit more for a lot less headaches. But to be fair for the sort time it did print the quality was good.Read full review

Only by this printer if you have a printer and at knowledged of 3-D printing do not buy this printer if you are a first-time printer because you will need to understand some Basic stuff and the building information was pretty good and the quality of printing I will give it a 8/10 for the first print without going into the setting . I did go on YouTube and see the review on it and most people complain about the bed Wobbling and I DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM and please don’t over tighten the Black acrylic parts or you will crack them as I did I got the x3 and x5 and the quality in print is the same so for the price it’s a bargain and soon as I sell some more parts I will buy another x3

I agree with the comment above. Missing some t-nuts and it takes a good day to build. 1.5 hours just to strip the protective paper from the Acrylic parts. At the end of the day you need to work out where to position the control box and tidy up the cables, some of which could be a little longer to allow neat cable tying. This is not a show piece printer, it's functional and a rat's nest of wires. Still a good price yet though. Check out the 2017 model, looks like they've sorted some of these issues.

This printer is just a Tronxy X3 whilst it isn't advertised explicitly on this eBay listing. First thing to say is that I was very impressed with the build. Despite taking a very long time (around 8 hours), the assembly was simple and everything was included right down to the nuts and bolts; unheard of with Chinese printers. Secondly, I have now completed around 8 prints and now believe I have all the settings on S3D spot on. My latest print looks really good and is very structurally sound. Thirdly, the auto leveling is great! Part of the reason I bought the printer was for this function and it helps a lot. A press of the button before each prints allows the machine to carry out the levelling process which takes around 1 minute. Being a Chinese printer, I have had some problems but nothing too hard for even a beginner hobbyist to fix. Firstly, the power wires which are soldered to the bed eventually snapped off due to the repeated reciprocating motion of the bed. This was fixed by removing the bed, stripping off a bit more wire and resoldering to the bed. I stopped the issue from happening again by soldering the bare wire as close to the bed as possible so that any bending would act on the insulation as well as the wire, effectively acting as a strain reliever. I then put hot glue around then connection to act as more strain relief. Secondly, the acrylic pieces which hold the pulleys for the belt are not strong enough. When the belts are tensioned, the acrylic can be seen to bend. Although the printer will print fine as did mine despite the bending, I do not see this lasting in the long run. Therefore, I have printed X and Y axis belt tensioners as can be found on thingiverse. These work great and fix all the issues. Thirdly (and lastly), the 90° supports which hold the Y axis rail have holes which are too big for the bolts required (the head goes straight through). This is easily fixed by using M3 washers (4 in total). P.S. According to many online reviews, people have a problem with the build plate wobbling on the Y axis rail. If the Y axis wheel assemblies are pressed inwards towards the centre when tightening them up, this will not be an issue. My bed has no play what so ever (I think a lot of the people who have this problem are a bit thick/not very technically minded). To conclude, I strongly recommend this printer. It is my first printer and I have had a very good experience with it despite my lack of knowledge. I strongly recommend beginners buying a kit as it gives you better understanding of how the printer works and what settings you may need to edit to achieve a given result. When compared to the two other big competitors you've probably looked at when looking at printers around this price, the Anet A8/GeeeTech i3 and Tevo Tarantula, this blows them both out of the water for the following reasons: Stronger build, auto leveling neater wiring design, larger build volume and generally the fact that this is based on a Creality CR10 which is currently one of the best printers money can buy under £1000 buy for less than £200. Happy printing!Read full review
