FIve reasons I love my Cheapo Pool Vac
I am in Florida and have a 33"x18" un-screened, kidney shaped in-ground pool with shallow end cascading steps. Our "grand dogs" use the pool most often. The few negatives first.They are definitely not as good as your $300-$600 units, which I have owned before I found these.The hose is not long enough but we buy one of these every three years or so and reuse old sections. You can buy extra lengths inexpensively. These less expensive units will clog with bigger leaves after a windstorm, the suction has to be pretty good, it rarely makes it up onto the steps. What this cheapo unit will do is a great job keeping the dirt from paws, small leaves and fungus from building up on the bottom and sides of the pool. The BIG BUTS are: 1. I never had a cheapo unit stolen (that is huge.) There is a huge market for stolen $600 units. 2. If one of the grand puppies ( a 120 lbs Dogo Argentino and his bff a Blue Nose Pitt) decide it is a playtoy, I am not out $600. 3. The South Florida sun is relentless. The sun and chlorine team up to crystallize plastic and turn it into fine chalk. It is always better to be able to depreciate $60 instead of $600 over three years, that is all either lasts in my experience. 4.The cheapo unit has ONE MOVING PART! You won't be looking for tracks, valves and swivels to fix it like the $600 unit. You know the $600 unit breaks the same week the warranty runs out and the parts are usually more expensive then my whole cheapo unit setup. 5. When I pull the cheapo unit from the pool, so the "grand doggies" can swim, I don't have to treat it like it is a $600 piece of machinery. Pull it out and toss it off to the side and throw it back in when they are done messing up the pool. My synopsis. I have worked hard for my money and have plenty but I am never one to spend it to impress anyone (unless it is my grand puppies.) Per dollar spent, there is no comparison to the retain-ability, performance and reliability of this unit. This will not satisfy ego or show-off factors but it will keep your pool clean between your cleaning.. I really learned to love it when I cleaned the pool but now the pool guy loves it. If it is out of the pool or clogged up he is sure to have it running before leaves.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Cheap Cheap Cheap Terrible
Parts don't connect well, instructions not good, disconnects easily so when repositioning in pool when hung up comes apart every time! Weight bar broke before entering the pool!
