Very easy to replace. There's an excellent 5 minute youtube video by 'Repairs Universe'' with a step-by-step guide to replacing the internal GA40 battery. (Alas, ever more oppressive ebay won't allow a link here to it). There are one or two potential pitfalls to swapping out the battery, so worth watching the vid first. You'll also need a Torx T3. But otherwise it's very easy. Don't try and save money by buying a 'compatible' battery. Inevitably the capacity stated on it will be fictitious. Good luck!

1. The battery was advertised as bundled with the tools required for fitment, which are a T4 screwdriver and a pair of fine nosed forces. Neither of these were included and had to be bought separately. 2. The battery was advertised as being a genuine part. The original is clearly branded "Sony". This one is not. It also has the incorrect length cable. It appears to be a fake. 3. The battery was advertised as 3000mAh (as per the original part). This one measures 2400mAh. 4. The battery had been badly packed and the plug had damaged both sides of the battery.

This new battery has restored life to my Motorola G4. Would have given 5 stars if it had actually arrived with the "free tools" as described. Fortunately managed to find appropriate tools at the back of the kitchen drawer.

You need a T3 Torx driver to fit this (Buy a decent quality one) but it takes about 10 minutes to change carefully. The battery itself has a MUCH larger capacity than my old one and I can now get through a day with my phone again.
