Bought the mics to use with my DSLR (Canon EOS 600D) for creating YouTube videos. The units are lightweight (but not rubbish looking) and come in a really sturdy little plastic crash case with all the bits you'll need. Set up was ridiculously simple and I was experimenting with them within minutes. Hit a problem early on with white noise on the recording but it turned out to be the camera's fault NOT the mic. Took me about an hour of fiddling with camera settings to realise it was the camera's auto gain overcompensating. (Pro-Tip: Set the camera at its absolute minimum gain +1 and then adjust the volume on the BOYA receiver). Once I'd fixed that problem I did a range test and managed to walk right the way through my house and out into the garden with no drop in quality. Now listen; I use Sennheiser radio mics at work. These are NOT Sennheiser. The supplied lavalier mic is a bit flat and there's not a lot of oomph to the sound. I've yet to try it with a better lav mic but the sound you get out of these is more than usable. I've also yet to get the audio into Audition to have a play with post-pro but I suspect a dash of compression and you'll be laughing. Having said they're not Sennheiser they're also not Sennheiser money. They're 5 times cheaper and they're certainly not 5 times less quality-wise. At this price they're virtually disposable. If you're planning on shooting a blockbuster movie straight out of the box then you're going to be disappointed, but then you were always going to be disappointed. If you want good quality sound for general use shooting internet videos these are definitely worth a shot. If you're thinking about going wireless but aren't sure you can justify the cost to your partner, these are the option for you. Other manufacturers are going to be VERY cross about these mics. The only really bad thing is the supplied earphone which is just awful. Throw it away and use headphones you cheapskate. One last thing: Once you've used a radio mic you will never go back to being tethered to your camera by a cable again. Ever.Read full review

Looking for a wireless mic system, you won't go wrong with the BOYA BY-WM6. Very impressed with the coverage and clarity of this mic system. The case that it comes in is also a bonus and sturdy in build quality. 👍👍👍
