Bought as a replacement for a Sony Z5compact when the sound stopped working and it wouldn't connect to network. On paper the Sony was a better phone but in practice the Samsung is much better in every respect except size, where it is quite a bit longer and a litle wider for only a marginally bigger screen. However the screen is far better, much clearer and brighter, battery life also much better, even after fitting new battery to the Sony. The processor on the Sony is supposedly better but it's nothing I can notice, in fact the Samsung seems better here as well.

Pros: Very nice look and feel to it Runs very smoothly (though I've only had it for 2 months) Bargain price for what I paid for Cons: Glass back scratches easily and is slippery making me always fearful of dropping the phone 2GB RAM and 16GB storage is stingy for a mid range phone in this day and age Does come with some bloatware (Microsoft Office apps that are basically a duplicate of Gsuite) Camera doesn't have OIS so shooting in pro mode requires finesse All in all I'm very satisfied with my purchases and the cons aren't a deal breaker, just small gripes that set it just short of perfection for me.

Lack of 1080p Screen Resolution is noticeabe.

This phone is great. So good, that when my daughter smashed hers by accident, she wanted the same model again. I've now bought another one for my other daughter.
