This is only a quartz watch, but very good for this price. I like the sweep second hand, the very good timekeeping, the field style. Comfortable to wear it, easy to read the dial. It has screwable crown for better water resistance. Lume is so-so. Not a diver, but visible for 8 hours in total darkness. I miss the sapphire crystal. I hope the hardlex will be enough against scratches. The only little mistake is the dial scale on my watch. When the second hand is on the 12h, the minute hand beats not always exactly onto the minute marker. The error is about 1/5 marker division, can see. E.g. when the minute hand perfectly covers the markers in generally, won't fit at the 50-55 minute markers. I have many watches with this problem /Fortis Flieger, Orient M-Force, Vostok Amphibia etc./, so I am happy when the dial scale is exact. My chinese Rodina, Fortis Pilot Professional, Certina DS Powermatic 80, Caimano auto know that. I bought the Bulova for the movement - I don't like jumping second hand. The bonus is the accuracy and the nice design. Buy it bravely, recommended watch if you thinking in quartz movement.Read full review

The Bulova is an ideal military watch. Super clear dial, screw down crown and screw down case for great water resistance. I did change out the leather strap for a metal sharks mesh and Bulova do a NATO type strap version - all are comfortable. The fact that it uses the high precision movement means time keeping is spot on (far more accurate than an automatic) but because of the movement you also get a sweeping second hand. If you want an atractive versitile watch this is a great choice.

Very nice calibre, very accurate. Exactly on the atomic clock after two weeks. Sweep second hand is particularly appealing and the strap is very high quality. My only complaint is that where the bezel contacts the case is a little coarse. There is a lip of the bezel that overlaps the case at the lugs, and the bezel does not seem to be all the way down on the case. A little more attention to the design of the case would have eliminated this.

I've been a fan of the CORRECT time since the military taught me the value of launching nuclear missiles "on time" many years ago. A watch that reads quickly, easily and accurately is important to me. This Bulova does that perfectly in a handsome case that pays tribute to classic watch designs. The movement is as precise as you can buy without going to a NIST radio-synchronised number. The lume is quite good and the legible numbers make it very easy to read in the dark. List price on the tag is $399.00 and the deep discounts available on ebay make this time piece irresistable.

I've been looking for analog watch that will be water resistant, vary legible, and accurate. Not only that I've found it, it's also very light weight and comfortable and cost less than 200$. The only two bad things about it are the luminous material and the crystal.
