Scary Cover
I've always liked this album. It's always struck me as a jam session rather than a cohesive collection of songs on an album. With that being said, I think it's a wonderful collection of individual musicians (Winwood, Clapton, Baker, & Grech) as well as music.
There are 6 songs. I like them all; however, a few of them end up just sort of running on ... and on, for example, "Had to Cry Today" & "Do What You Like".
Of course, "Can't find My Way Home" with the acoustic sound and WinWood's vocals, for me, has always had a kind of dreamy trippy feel. I think my least favorite song is "Sea of Joy". I don't care for the vocals on this song; a bit painful for my ears; however, I think it's interesting the way in which the violin is incorporated into this song.
At any rate, just a few thoughts.
