I first saw "Don't Look Back" when it was screened on a British terrestrial channel (I forget which) about ten years ago, maybe a little longer. As a long-time member of the Dylan faithful I found it a highly engaging and entertaining insight into the life and work of the twentieth century's greatest singer/wongwriter, filmed as it was during Dylan's 1965 visit to the UK; a time when this artist had gripped the entire world with his inititable and hugely potent style of music and lyrics. This particular 2 DVD set contains additional material I'd not previously seen and it comes it a beautifully presented gift-box set, complete with a book of B&W photographs that accompany the film itself. A highly recommended item.
great documentary! about bob dylan on his england tour. includes live performances and backstage material.
This is a fantastic insight to Bob Dylan during the beginning of his creative peak. Timed around the Bringing It All Back Home & Highway 61 Revisted releases it portrays Dylan as the new anarchist of rock, shying away from his previous protest image. A must have for any Dylan fan.
