I'm talking about the Rotak 43 Ergoflex model. I bought it to replace a 23-year-old Honda electric with powered wheels, as I couldn't find any electric model these days with powered drive. The "powerdrive" word Bosch use to describe the motor has nothing to do with the wheels! I suspect this Ergoflex type mower was a Which? Best Buy. I'm 63 (male) and mow about an acre of lawns - about 6 hours a week currently. Some have a lot of obstructions (low branches, obstacles) which was where powered the old Honda's wheels really helped. But this mower is so light it's not much harder to manipulate from the side, and really easy to lift over a fence using the neat handle above the motor. It's also really quick to unlatch the top handle & lower it to go under apple trees etc. The grass box works well except when the grass is damp, when it needs emptying about half full. I prefer to empty it often into a bin-on-wheels strategically placed. To extend the mower's cable I use 70 metres of extension and even so the 1800W motor really cuts fast, I can mow much faster than my old 1600W power-drive mower went. All in all I think it is a brilliant mower but I doubt it will last 23 years - we'll see. The only negatives I have are I can't mow inclined banks (terrace sides) because the front wheels are set inboard of the side combs; the combs dig into the ground if I try. And it would be nicer if the cord was attached to a left-to-right slider on a full-width bar rather than to either the left or the right side of the handle. I love it! But I've just bought a spare blade, as I've found the speed of mowing does depend on how sharp it is, and blades as usual are at a rip-off £16 spare parts price. And because the plug connecting to the mower is a special connector & moulded onto the cable I imagine a replacement for a damaged cable would also be very pricey!Read full review
I am very pleased with the mower. It is light and easy to use. I would like it to cut even lower

This the third Bosch Rotak 43 lawnmower that have bought in over a decade. They have changed the flex to be permanately attached whereas the previous mowers had detachable cables which were easier to wind up and store. When I stopped the mower for the first time.,the blade continued to spin, On examination I found that this was caused by the blade being loose.

This is a great lawnmower for any size lawn with a powerful motor superior to other comparable mowers. The blade is steel and can be re sharpened so it will work always at optimum level for the life of the blade. Very easy to assemble and for its size, it is easy to manoevre
