As someone who has suffered childhood abuse myself (not to the extent of Nabila I hasten to add), I found this a very powerful and immotive true story. Yes, although I know the main storyline is disturbing, I still believe it's absolutely essential that we should collectively 'take our heads out of the sand' and acknowledge this type of abuse is still happening. We should also work towards eliminating, and ending it. Our children are our hope and our future. Their best interests should always come first. This true story reveals in honest clarity one little girl's experiences. Let's hope and pray that her bravery in sharing her experiences leads to positive changes for children in the future.
