    A good buy

    It works well and seems solid and well made. The only reason I gave it four stars was the very basic instructions. I would have preferred a bit more information and being female I actually do read instructions.

    Cheap & nasty & very dangerous

    When using the torch it is advised to leave it stand for a short while after filling before lighting. I filled it & left it stand overnight. When I used it the next day the gas came spluttering out in liquid form and when it ignited it was like a flame thrower giving out a bulbous flame about a foot long. It switched it to off but it remained ignited so I had no option but to throw it out of the door and let it burn itself out in the garden. I have been brave and was actually daft enough to try it again but now the ignition doesn't work & it still splutters out liquid gas which gives this huge wavy flame and not the desired blue flame required. In other words it's another cheap import of a very low quality item and I certainly do not recommend it.

    I find the size and the handling excellent. It is not the easiest to fill and that makes use of it rather short between fillings.

    Great budget lighter

    Not top quality but for the price absolutely fabulous. Works well, easy to refill. Not sure what the lock is for but for lighting the hob and candles it is perfect. And it looks cool! You can buy cheaper but I value my fingers. Works on its side too for tricky to reach places.

    Does what it needs to do.

    The bottom "stand" is easily pulled off if you're not careful. The screws a so short they hardly hold it on. However, that is my only criticism. For the price, it is ok. If you want to be a bit more " cheffy," go for an all metal one.
