I was hoping for a hands on manual of how best to design your vegetable garden as my previous literature by Gertrud Frank did have schematics but was written as straight text (like a story book) and very hard to consult for "what goes well with what". This book is written like a dictionary, with keywords and plant names by alphabetic order. It's a handy book for quick referal of plants, but not a guide for designing or managing your garden. I recomend it as a complement. Will have to keep searching for the ideal manual...
