A good palm sander for the price.
The sander has been sufficiently powerful to sand an oak front door where the small size of the sander was ideal for the small panels of the door. The dust extraction fitting is a bit 'hit and miss' but found to work fairly effectively by fitting a washing machine drain hose to the adaptor and connecting that to the vacuum hose. My one major complaint is not being able to find a ready supply of sander sheets with the correct perforations for effective dust extraction. The supplier of the sander could be more help with problem. This is the only job carried out so far, only time will tell whether this sander was a good buy !Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Impossible to find replacement sanding base
I was happy with this at first but at some point the sanding base will need replacing (which is quite normal because it's Velcro on a soft pad). I'm finding it virtually impossible to locate the replacement. Contacted VonHaus (who I think import them from China) and they couldn't help me. These aren't a standard or universal fit. Little sander that can handle big jobs
I bought this sander purely as a backup but ended up using only this one. I got it because I needed to sand water-damaged paint that had dried from bedroom walls and my large B&D sander had been overheating last time I used it. I only had 48 hours to get the walls sanded, repaired, primed and painted, so I didn't want to be caught short with my old sander dying halfway through. At the price I thought this little sander would be a good backup just in case, but when it arrived I found it was pretty powerful and it is also quite light and comfortable to hold so I decided it would be more suitable than my large sander even though I was worried the small sanding area wouldn't be enough and the lack of variable speed might cause a problem. I needn't have worried, it handled the job perfectly, it was very comfortable to use, the speed and power were perfect and it never got hot. I think my old sander will be going to the tip because having done this job I can't imagine anything the large one could do that this small one couldn't. Brilliant small sander
Great price for a really useful, solid piece of kit. So far all brilliant. Works perfectly for stripping a piece of furniture. I've seen reviews where people have complained about the dust extractor tube not fitting their vacuum cleaner - nothing a bit of plastic bag and a couple of elastic bands won't solve to fix the joint. It's not as if it sends clouds of dust out anyway; I've used it so far without the vacuum attached and just swept and wiped up the dust every couple of minutes. It's quiet, very little vibration and very easy to use (and I have arthritic wrists/hands). My only quibble - and it's a tiny one - is that only 3 sanding papers are supplied, but it's enough to work out what I need to buy when they wear out and considering the excellent price I'm not complaining. VonHaus hand sander
It was easy to use, did shake the arm and hand with vibrations a bit but ideal for doing small jobs like table tops to get that smooth finish before painting or varnish. I found this sander to be very good and efficient in use. The only niggle is that I thought it might be smaller so that it could get into small areas. Useful compact piece of kit
This is a very useful little tool . I have been using it for sanding skirting boards in the new bathroom and it’s size is perfect for corners etc . The balance is pretty good when you get used to it’s compact size and light weight and it’s gutsy for its size . One thing which is odd though and its the lack of a dust bag or even where to get one .
