Typically hit what was a sunken snapped-off fence post and the original plastic gears sheared - if the design wasn't meant to save further damage I'd be surprised. These replacements are a direct replacement - that is even though they are not original Qualcast components they fit straight in without any bother. Needless to say excellent delivery meant the lawn was chopped within three days. And at this price it's worthwhile keeping a spare set in the shed/garage/sock drawer.

Had to drill out 3 dowel holes to fit dowel pins, had to lap out central hole to fit the spigot. Once done the gears meshed ok, and the mower worked fine.

Although the gears are working at the moment, I fear that they will not last very long as I do not think that the gears mesh together enough, they are working on what I would consider the tips.
