This CD was bought to replace my treasured original LP. I was lucky enough to see Davy play at Les Cousins in Greek St and believe he was the inspiration for so many of today's guitar heroes. He is credited with inventing the open tuning popularised by the likes of Jansch and Renborn. If you love guitar put aside any reservations about the folksy tracks and immerse yourself in his playing.
Davey Graham started playing and recording when I was a young man learning how to play the guitar. He was original and innovative, playing classic songs in his own style and adding songs of his own which have become classics in their own right. This album is a perfect example of how music progressed in the sixties.
