Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Reciprocating Saws
I've been using reciprocating saws since 1973, when I became an apprentice carpenter. I've always owned Milwaukee Sawzalls, but since I decided to go cordless, I've been buying all Dewalt tools. I've been using the Dewalt Flexvolt saw for a few weeks now, and I think it is just as good a saw as the Milwaukee corded saw. Fast and easy to change the blade, and has all the power I need. It's a keeper.

If you live in a moderate climate, these Dewalt 60volt tools are awesome. If you are a contractor who works outside in cold weather like me, you will hate these tools as soon as the weather turns cold. Dewalt actually says to charge the batteries at an air temp between 65 and 75 degrees Fahrenheit for best performance. That's ridiculous. Most of the year outside temps will be higher or lower. They also tell you that damage could result if temp drops below 40° or rises above 104° Apparently they have set their charges to flat refuse to charge below certain temps although I haven't exactly figured out what that temp is. I just figured out I have $1,000 worth of fair weather tools. They work great in warm temps, but are 100% useless in cooler temps. I had no such issues with my Makita 18v lithium ion powered tools. They ran fine 8n sub-zero temps Dewalt is worthless for outdoor use.Read full review

Big and Heavy!! Strong, lot of power, easy to change blades. Very large in size..not for small area or for someone who can not hold this much weight. DEWALT does make a smaller lighter model in 20 volt, it is not a Flexvolt tool but I think it is brushless.

Extremely powerful. Needed a blade for cutting small trees and branches. Home Depot did not have De Walt blades. Purchased one 12" Diabello (spell) carbon steel blade. At times the blade would wedge and the De Walt would pull like a bronco horse until freed. Need to hold on tight. This is my second De Walt product. My ninety degree drill has performed flawlessly.

Replaced my 20+ year old Milwaukee. No lack of power. Actually as good or better than Milwaukee in power. The balance of the machine is very good. The led is a nice feature. Overall great saw.
